गुणैः संवेष्टितो देहस्तिष्ठत्याति याति च ।
अात्मा म गन्ता नागन्ता किमेनमनुशोचसि ॥
Along with this body, certain qualities are endowed. A person has a particular nature. Consider vata, pitta, kapha. When the sun rises, there is more bile in you. Pitta rises, and then vata. It’s interesting to see how the three doshas in the body – vata, pitta, kapha – rise and fall, and how they affect your activities, your behavior and your emotions. Someone may be grumpy because of a rise in pitta. Somebody may be too active because the vata in him has risen. And, kapha will cause dullness and idleness. These doshas, keep changing in you. Do not consider yourself lazy. If you do, you will encourage this thought all the time. You are none of that. There may be times when you felt horrible and you think that you always feel horrible; that you always feel depressed. You are none of that. Alternately, you may feel very egoistic, and think that there is nobody like you and that the others are so dull. Another way of saying this is that everybody is hopeless; nobody is orderly. This implies that only you are very orderly and honest and all the others are chaotic. What is this? What is happening?
गुणैः संवेष्टितो देहस्तिष्ठत्याति याति च । If you are awake and alert and just observe what is happening, nothing will touch you or pierce the inner core of your being. Nothing, no event can ever destroy the light in you, the joy in you and the bliss in you. When a Master says that you are invincible, it seems very confusing. What does He mean by ‘invincible’? From where he is saying ‘invincibility’, you are invincible; that everything is invincible and that consciousness is invincible. It’s pregnant with meaning. It’s deep.
All these come and go. Shake yourself! Wake up! Open your eyes and see where you are. You will see there are no two. There is no God and no ‘you’. If you are there, then there is God. There is neither ‘I’ nor God. What ‘is’, is. That is Divine. It is all hollow and empty. It’s all space established in the mind. Stay in that space.
देहस्तिष्ठतु कल्पान्तं गच्छत्वद्यैव वा पुनः ।
क्व वृद्धिः क्व च वा हानिस्तव चिन्मात्ररूपिणः ॥
So many changes have happened in the body. And you have moved through all these changes. You are the changeless consciousness, and you are the changeless energy. There is no ‘I’, and there is no ‘you’. That is love.
