Rivea hypocrateriformis, Convolvulaceae popularly known as 
फांज, फांद सांजवेल in Marathi, is a perennial giant climber is popular 
 as a wild vegetable especially in Rural folks but not many observations have been made about the flooding of bees and many other insects on this creeper ! Bees and flies enjoy 
an anonymous sap secreted near the leaf stems instead of flowers. That’s why this post exists ! Posting few pictures in this post, I am trying to shed light on the biodiversity we can see on this vine .
This vine is endowed with medicinal properties and according to Ayurveda its leaf extract is used for birth control as well as useful in headache ,piles and dermatitis.
