Apple

An apple is an edible fruit produced by an apple tree (Malus domestica). Apple trees are cultivated worldwide and are the most widely grown species in the genus Malus.

The tree originated in Central Asia, where its wild ancestor, Malus sieversii, is still found today.

Apples contain antioxidants, vitamins, dietary fiber, and a range of other nutrients. Due to their varied nutrient content, apples can be a helpful component of a balanced diet.
Eating a diet rich in a variety of fruits and vegetables, including apples, may help reduce the risk of several conditions, such as:
cancer, obesity, heart disease and diabetes.
