Putranjiva roxburghii (Syn.: Drypetes roxburghii, Nageia putranjiva) – Putranjivaceae. Commonly known as: Putranjiva, Lucky Bean Tree, Putijia etc. A famous, moderate-sized, evergreen tree with pendant branches and dark grey bark planted in parks / gardens. 

A multipurpose tree species (MPTS) that is grown as an ornamental, leaves can be used as fodder, wood fuel and the tree parts are also used in traditional medicine. The seeds of the tree are especially used for treating female infertility.
