It is endemic to China, mostly found in Northeast states of India but comes under endangered species. Fruits are widely eaten as a raw by locals of Arunachal Pradesh. Wood are used for household and construction purposes like making houses, fence etc. Pandua Gogan is found in loose wet soil in subtropical forests between 600-1400 m, along river side, in NE India, Bhutan, China, Nepal, Myanmar. Flowering: April-December.
It is used in veterinary medicine.
