Ichnocarpus frutescens (common name: black creeper, shyama lata, dirgha-mula, kali dudhi etc.) – Apocyanaceae, 

 An evergreen and climbing shrub distributed throughout India. The root is medicinally useful and used as a substitute for Indian sarsaparilla.
